Awesome Film Soundtracks
There are literally hundreds of movie soundtracks out there that have touched the hearts of millions of people, making them cry, punch the air with joy or throw their popcorn on the floor and walk out in anger but how on earth can one of those electric guitars really make so many different sounds? What are the best movie tracks of all time?
Wizard Of Oz
This is the best musical of all time which means it has to be on the list. Technicolor certainly wasn’t a usual thing to have in a film in 1939 so for the Wizard Of OZ to be featured mostly in colour was a major victory. Although initially the film only made a minor profit it has since gone on to become one of the most loved and most watched films of all time. How about songs like Over the Rainbow and the Yellow Brick Road, they are classics in their own right that is for sure.
Jaws
It is safe to say that John Williams is able to have his own article but Jaws was one of his earliest pieces which is why it is the one in this article. This was what really kick started his career and although Spielberg has initially laughed at the main piece of music he later went on to say that the film would have only been half as successful without the input of Williams.
Back To The Future
This is up there purely because I could not get enough of this film when I was younger and the music will always put me in the mood to watch the films. Alan Silvestri did a fantastic job on the music along with Huey Lewis and the News with the two tracks “The Power of Love” and “Back in Time”. The main theme is one of the most recognised in the world that is certain.
There are so many other films out there that have had awesome music such as Grease, Star Wars and the adventure masterpiece, Indiana Jones. The real secret behind a great music score? Well use a variety of instruments like drum kits and use those guitar amplifiers.
